Find theater & comedy events across the Florida Keys
Theater in the Florida Keys runs mostly out of Key West. The Red Barn Theatre and Waterfront Playhouse have been the anchors for decades, plus the Tennessee Williams Theatre at the College of the Florida Keys. The Red Barn does a year-round season (mix of classics and new work). The Waterfront Playhouse leans toward bigger productions. Marathon Community Theatre handles the middle Keys. Up in Key Largo, the Murray Nelson Government Center occasionally hosts visiting productions. Comedy is sparser. A handful of Duval bars host weekly standup or open-mic nights, and traveling acts pass through during Hemingway Days and Fantasy Fest.
